What's Included 1 cordierite ceramic baking sheet, 1 scraper

Usage & Care Before the first 2–3 uses, grease new stoneware with a high-heat-resistant fat (e.g., canola oil, coconut oil, or clarified butter) to promote the development of a patina. Always place the baking sheet on a rack—never directly on the hot oven floor—and fill it at least two-thirds full with food to prevent thermal shock. Do not place frozen food on the hot stone. After cooling, clean with warm water and a dish brush or the included scraper—preferably without dish soap, as it damages the patina. For stubborn residue, a paste made from baking soda and water helps. Allow to air dry completely before storing.

Security Not dishwasher-safe—please wash by hand only. Do not let the stone soak or get wet for long periods of time. Avoid temperature fluctuations: do not place frozen food on the hot stone, and do not rinse the hot stone with cold water. It is completely normal for the surface to turn dark brown to black over time; this actually improves baking results.

Wie reinige ich das Stoneware Backblech richtig?

Reinige das abgekühlte Blech mit warmem Wasser und einer Spülbürste oder dem beiliegenden Schaber, bei hartnäckigen Resten mit einer Paste aus Natron und Wasser. Bitte nicht einweichen, kein Spülmittel oder Chlorreiniger verwenden und das Blech vor dem Verstauen vollständig an der Luft trocknen lassen.

Darf das Stoneware Backblech in die Spülmaschine?

Nein, bitte meide die Spülmaschine. Sie trägt jedes Mal die Patina ab und das Blech saugt sich komplett mit Wasser voll.

Was hilft, wenn das Backblech unangenehm oder muffig riecht?

Reinige das vollständig abgekühlte Blech mit einer Paste aus Natron und Wasser und spüle es danach gründlich ab. Nicht einweichen und vor dem Verstauen vollständig an der Luft trocknen lassen.

Wie werden Kartoffeln auf dem Backblech schön knusprig?

Trockne die Kartoffelstücke vor dem Backen gut ab, benetze sie dünn mit Öl und verteile sie nebeneinander statt übereinander. Belege mindestens zwei Drittel der Fläche und stelle das Blech auf einen Backofenrost.

Mein Backblech wurde feucht verstaut und hat Flecken – was tun?

Lass das Blech mindestens 48 Stunden offen trocknen, reibe die Flecken mit Essigwasser (halb Essig, halb Wasser) ein und bürste sie nach 10–15 Minuten ab, bei Bedarf zusätzlich mit einer Natronpaste. Nach erneutem Trocknen das Blech in den kalten Ofen legen und 30 Minuten bei 200 °C erhitzen. Vor den nächsten 2–3 Einsätzen dünn mit Rapsöl, Kokosöl oder Butterschmalz einreiben, damit sich die Patina neu aufbaut.
